About WordCloud Studio
WordCloud Studio turns any list of words into shaped word-cloud art — hearts, stars, clouds, or a shape you upload — and lets you download it as a high-resolution PNG or a true vector SVG. It’s the kind of thing teachers use for classroom posters, couples use for anniversary gifts, and teams use for retrospectives and event banners.
Why it’s free
Most word-cloud tools charge for high-resolution or vector downloads, because they render images on their servers and servers cost money. WordCloud Studio does all of its work inside your browser: the layout engine, the rendering, and the export up to 16K resolution. There is no server-side rendering to pay for, so there is nothing to put behind a paywall. We keep the lights on with unobtrusive advertising.
How it works
Every word is placed by a collision-detection engine that packs words tightly into the shape you choose, largest first, then fills the remaining gaps with smaller repeats if you ask it to. Because the layout is stored as coordinates rather than pixels, the same design can be exported at any size without losing sharpness. Words never leave your device unless you create an account and choose to save a design.
Who builds it
WordCloud Studio is made by 4Brains Technologies, a software and interactive-experience studio based in India.
